Fashion design in Turkey (Czech Republic + Macedonia) – September 26-30
Four students from the Czech Republic and two from Macedonia came to work with students from fashion design department in Sinop. The topic of workshop was “Sea breeze”. The hosting school prepared a fashion show and they visited the local museums and sightseeings.
The students worked in groups of three (from each country one) and together they made clothes accessories like belts, necklaces, bracelets and small pieces for decoration clothes. They learned the traditional puff locks. It is a kind of multicolor hemstitch which is used usually in bands or necklines for clothes decorations.
The hosting school prepared a programme. According to the evaluation survey, the students liked work at school, fashion show and social activities. Unfortunately, the biggest problem was communication in English. Especially, Macedonian and Turkish students needed teachers´ help with translation.
